Cottonwood Arizona
is host to a variety of special events in the Verde Valley. Summer is an especially busy time with many fine arts and crafts shows where local artists can showcase their talent. Cottonwood is also home to the annual Verde River Valley Days held at the Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Not just your ordinary festival, The Verde River Valley Days holds fishing clinics, a sandcastle-building contest, canoe rides and a rubber duck race. It’s a fun-filled event for the whole family. For something else unique, there are geological and archaeological tours available in the Cottonwood region by reservation. For car fans, there’s the annual Show and Glow Car Show, usually held in September, at Riverfront Park in Cottonwood. Also usually held in September is the annual Moonlight Madness Festival, held in nearby Sedona. The Cottonwood area is sure to have something of interest for everyone.
